BIO
Yorgos was born in 1982 in Athens, Greece.
He studied pure mathematics at the Imperial College London and the University of Cambridge.
His first job was as a tutor of mathematics at the University of Warwick, but he soon discovered that his artistic interests outweighed those of mathematics.
Luckily for him, he found his way to the creative department of the largest advertising company in Greece, Ogilvy, where he worked from 2008 to 2016, first as a copywriter and then as associate creative director.
During these years he produced a wide range of advertising campaigns, many of which won awards both in Greece and abroad.
Although he loved working as an advertising creative, he realized that he liked movie sets and post production suites even more, so he decided to take the next step in his life and pursue a career as a film director.
In 2016 he graduated with honors from the film and television department of NYU in New York.
Since then he has directed campaigns for IKEA, Aegean, Cosmote, Mondelez, Misko, Piraeus Bank, NOYNOY, Interamerican, Heineken, Germanos, the American College of Greece and others.
